Bouroullecs introduce window blinds for Kvadrat
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec expanded their ever-growing portfolio with the latest addition of an exquisite window blind collection. Created for textile giant Kvadrat, the brothers found the perfect partner for the venture who is in line with their determination to highest quality, and their design ethos of function and simple beauty unified in one. The roller blinds are framed on top quality, durable, and light aluminium, that hold a range of uniquely sized textiles. Both materials help to control light levels, glare, and even temperature, the cloth either reflecting or absorbing light by adhering the atmospheric changes throughout the day.
Due to Kvadrat’s patented fixture system, it is easy to change the textiles once different considerations have to be made. Also, this solution allows for a range of installation possibilities: the blinds can be hanged from a wall, a ceiling, a beam, or a window frame in either horizontal or vertical layout. The Bouroullecs created three stratosphere-inspired textile designs for the collection. The triumvirate of the Stratus, the Nimbus, and the Cumulus ensure either a monochrome or a harmoniously contrasting look. While they are available in a variety of sizes, each system is made-to-order, ensuring that the final product matches exactly the requirements set up by the clients and the specific place.
