The interactive art CLOUD was one of numerous light installations throughout the GLOW Festival last year. Besides the Dutch Design Week, GLOW is the other big interactive festival, which welcomes visitors since 2006 and held yearly in Eindhoven.
CLOUD began as a large-scale interactive sculpture created from 6000 burnt out incandescent light bulbs collected by Canadian artists Caitlind r.c. Brown and Wayne Garrett. During the exhibition viewers interact with the CLOUD by initiating impromptu collaborations working as a collective to turn the entire sculpture on and off.
After its presence at the GLOW Festival, the CLOUD was shortlisted for an “Innovation by Design Awards” in New York City and appeared at Nuit Blanche Calgary (Canada), Garage Center for Contemporary Culture - Art Experiment 2013 (Moscow, Russia) and I Light Marina Bay festival of light in Singapore.Cloud , Glow , Dutch , Design Week , Eindhoven , The Netherlands , Istallation
